On the road.....
It was a usual day, nothing much happened apart from working in office and I packed my bag and left to home....
I got into the bus and noticed a window seat not occupied by any of the girls standing nearby and got close to notice that it was damp with rain water...
Then wiped the water with my lunch bag and occupied the seat and got a ticket from the conductor and just enjoying the breeze and suddenly at the signal near Agara lake I saw a dead cow lying.... My heart started beating with a new rythm, I dont know wat rythm it was....
As the bus passed the signal I noticed the vehicles passing by with no concern nothing... did I say concern yeah right what was expecting from them calling an Ambulance, getting down from their vehicle to see what happened... naahhhh
Few auto drivers who were on the foot path were signalling their hands at the dead, some two wheelers just looking at the site and passing.....
Oh GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My discomfort increased more... I had to do something, I want to do something... there is still humanity alive in my heart, I'm not a stone like others.....
And then I started dialing just dial the old justdial customer care # 08023333333 oh god it was not existing anymore ... whatelse to do, whatelse to do.....
I was not ready to give up today.. I activated my mobile internet, googled just dial Bangalore and ollaaaa I was on call with a woman and asked her to send me the details of the BBMP office in HSR layout, Banglaore and withing seconds I called the office and spoke to a man on the other hand....
The man " Yes Madam " Heli "(Tell)
Me: "Sir, near Agara lake there is dead cow lying near the signal can you send someone to clear it as lot of vehicles are passing by"
Man: Yes Madam , I will send somone one
Me: please send someone ASAP
A little relief is was I got but not satisfied.....
I got in silk board and boarded another bus with the thought in my head will the cow be cleared or just laid on the road to be fed to the lifeless vehicles of Bangalore until it is vanished!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Again picked up my phone and dialed the same number and the man knew it was me and addressed me before I enquired... Yes Madam I have forwarded the message to the control room. you can also check with the and gave the control room number...
Next thing I dialed the control room to confirm the message and the lady patiently answered me that it will be taken care off.....
My heart my heart what was it thinking .....
Who would have done this (what vehicle) such cruelity,
poor cow would have been crossing the signal just to go home after grazing
or to lie down on the grass for sometime,
My heart my heart what was it thinking....
the family who the cow belonged to, will they know that it is no more......
the friends it had, will they mourn for the loss...
I know only one thing I had done my best, I had given my best...
finally I have HUMANITY in me ALIVE ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

This was yesterday evenings story.....
Today as I left to work I had got 2 missed calls from an unknown number but a little familiar one... When I redialed back it was busy and again I tried and a lady happened to answer:
Lady: "Madam, Yesterday you called to inform about a dead cow on the road, right ?
Me: Yes , tell me
Lady: Madam, Did you happen to see it still on the road today?
Me: Shocked !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is it not cleared? I have just started to office and not yet reached the destination. Will see and call you back?
Lady: No Madam, Nobody informed if it is cleared after clearing so I called you to check.
Me: (In my mind) This is what you can expect in India
I instructed the auto driver to take the root below flyover and noticed it had been cleared and called the control room and informed her the same....
